Helping HandsAll horses previously placed in rescue now and in the future will be categorized as horse orphans and any horse whose owner is facing hardship due to economic times will be eligible to participate in this program. Qualifications will be as follows: Any owner in foreclosure, unemployed for any reason or facing a bonafied hardship will be considered for participation in the program.

Each individual horse will be identified by a picture Id coggins and certificate of registry of any breed club. All horses without a certificate of registry from a breed club will be considered a grade horse and will also be eligible by a picture Id coggins via FoodStampsForHorses.com.

All horses will receive a code for the remainder of their life. All private and rescue owners must register each individual horse. Benefits will be distributed as funds to individual owners in a manner ensuring that those funds will be used to purchase food or hay. Food Stamps for Horses. Inc. is pleading for major manufactures of Equine feed, to either provide a low cost feed bag or develop of products that will keep horses alive until they can be adopted or die of natural causes.

Hay growers and distributors are being asked to reduce their prices as much as possible for the benefit of this program.

Feed stores throughout the nation and the world are being networked to distribute food for all endangered equine species.

This species has existed for over 60 million years and was mankind's main mode of transportation until the advent of the automobile. They have fought the wars, carried heavy loads, plowed the fields and carried the mail -- just to mention a few. And now we are living in an era where Equus is being left to starve because of human industrialization. Our humanness must not allow these animals to become endangered.

Please help make this a reality

Now is the time to support this ever growing necessity. We are a non-profit organization and would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of the people who believed in this important endeavor to blanket a food source across the nation and to provide a way to help all horse owners in trouble financially. The work of the volunteers that have contributed financially, emotionally and who sacrificed their time, goods, expertise and contributed to rescuing horses in their local areas is greatly appreciated.
